YOH!!! I miss you ,fam.
It feels like it's been years since I performed. I actually feel malnourished!
Andinamazwi. I just know that it hurts and I want to make it stop.
I do, however, want to acknowledge that this time has forced me to investigate myself and my relationship with music. This has been a time of reflection for a lot of us. My findings didn't necessarily bring anything new to light but rather confirmed what is required of me as well as what i get in return - HEALING.
With that said, I hope you are well and at peace. Please stay safe out there and remember to breath and allow... Allow yourself and those around you to be what you need to be.
I hope to see you soon. Vaxxed or not I hope that we can overcome the darkness together.
Soooo.... I have been doing a lot of recording. My bedroom has become my little den of self expression and as result, I have 2 beautiful and completely different songs dropping on 01 October, 2021.
The first, is a different take on my current radio single,"Camagu". I worked with Disciples of House on a beautiful dance version of the ode to heritage and ancestry. Fun fact: this version happens to be the original. I'm really looking forward to the 2 versions existing on our dance floors
The 2nd song, I'm elated to announce, is a lullaby that has been selected for Platoon's part one of "African Lullabies". I can't begin to tell you how special this is for me as a mother and as a songwriter.
I'm stoked. Let's talk about them when their out. I'm genuinely proud of both offerings.
A 6 track Amapiano ep featuring 3 rising producers in JHB, South Africa. I can't dance to save my life but I thought, if there was ever a time to let go and dance, this is it.
Enjoy it. Share it. Write in and tell me what you think of it. I would love to hear from you.
